Description

Theresienklause is a historic dam from the 19th century, named after Queen Theresa of Bavaria. It is a fascinating example of ancient engineering to control the flow of water in the region.

The dam is part of a scenic trail through the Almbachklamm Gorge, where spectacular waterfalls, 29 bridges and 320 stairs await you. The trail offers breathtaking views of the Berchtesgaden Alps.

It's an ideal destination for history buffs and nature lovers, where you can view local flora and fauna, including roe deer, deer and a variety of bird species.
