Illwald -parking départ

Illwald -parking départ is the starting point for exploring one of the largest nature reserves in France, covering an area of about 1,855 hectares.

Called the 'green lungs' of Sélestat, this remarkable area impresses with its lush vegetation and abundance of fauna, including France's largest population of wild deer.

Marked hiking trails, including a 9-kilometer red loop, allow you to discover the Illwald's representative landscapes and habitats. The area is accessible by off-road baby carriages, and walks can be taken at any time of the year, admiring the changing scenery.
