Le Mur de la peste

Le Mur de la peste is a historic hiking trail in the Provence region, built in 1721 to stop the spread of the plague. This 27-kilometer wall offers an unusual combination of history and picturesque Provençal landscapes.

During the hike you'll see garrigue, pine forests and stone structures, as well as historic sites like old Lavoir. The route provides spectacular views and is a great option for history and nature lovers.

Be sure to have good trekking shoes and a supply of water, especially on hot days, as much of the route is not shaded.
