Description

The Papal Palace Gardens is a unique place where history meets nature. Divided into three main areas - the Palace Garden, the Papal Garden and the Orchard of Urban V - they have been restored to recreate their medieval character.

What sets the gardens apart is the 14th-century hydraulic system, which is still in place, and the variety of Mediterranean plants from that era. Historically, the gardens hosted an impressive collection of animals, including bears, lions and camels, highlighting the splendor of the papal residence.

The space was awarded the prestigious title of Jardin Remarquable in 2023, confirming its exceptional historical and educational value.
