Museum of Santon

Museum of Santon is a unique cultural site in Les Baux-de-Provence, showcasing the traditional craft of making santons - small figurines from Provence.

The museum has an impressive collection of 17th and 18th century Neapolitan figurines, as well as 19th century church santons. Of particular interest are scenes illustrating Provençal traditions related to Christmas and the works of famous santon makers.

For children, there are colorful, naively painted figurines placed at just the right height. The museum also offers a documentary about the process of making santons, which is an excellent lesson in the history and culture of Provence.
