Absinthe Museum

Absinthe Museum is a unique combination of bar and gallery, hidden in the old town of Antibes, in ancient Roman foundations. This fascinating place showcases the rich history of absinthe, a drink that inspired many famous artists and writers such as Manet, Degas and Toulouse-Lautrec.

The museum features a collection of antique bottles, antique absinthe-related paraphernalia and multimedia exhibits. For the adventurous, there are opportunities to taste different varieties of this strong alcohol, which was banned in France in 1915.
