Description
Château de Haut-Andlau is a unique castle dating back to the 13th century, built from granite blocks - a rarity in the region. Situated at an altitude of 451 meters, it offers breathtaking views of the Kirneck and Andlau river valleys.
It is distinguished by two round towers at the ends of a long polygonal building. A short, pleasant walk through the forest leads to this medieval gem, where you can admire original features such as fireplaces and different floor levels.
The castle has also become a center for artistic events, sound and light shows. Admission is free, making it an excellent option for history and nature lovers.
