Description
Domaine de Tavernel is a charming vineyard with a rich history dating back to the 19th century, named after Jean Tavernel, mayor of Beaucaire from 1837-1842. It has been run by the Amphoux/Compagne family for more than a century, now in its fifth generation of passionate winemakers.
Since 1987, it has specialized in organic wines, reflecting a commitment to sustainable practices. Between 1950 and 1970, the estate served as an experimental center for ITV, where the first grape harvesting machines were tested.
Visitors can learn about traditional winemaking methods, tour a Provençal farm and enjoy a variety of flavors of organic wines.
