Description
Forstenrieder Park is a vast, fenced wilderness area on the outskirts of Munich, covering some 20 square kilometers.
It's an ideal place to observe native wildlife - nearly 100 wild boars, 40 roe deer and 100 deer, as well as hares, foxes and badgers. The best time to visit the park is early in the morning or at dusk, when the animals are most active.
Numerous covered observation points increase the chances of meeting the park's inhabitants. The paved paths are perfect for both hiking and biking, especially beautiful on summer days.
