Description
Aubinger Bräu is Munich's oldest private brewery, dating back to 1328. The beer was originally brewed by Augustinian monks in a monastery near Munich Cathedral.
The brewery is famous for its traditional brewing methods, including the production of Helle beer in wooden barrels. Water for brewing comes from the brewery's own 230-meter deep well, and malt is produced in a historic malt house.
The beer hall has a lively atmosphere, and beer is poured directly from the keg. When a keg runs out, a bell rings, signaling the need for a new one.
