Famille HUGEL Viticulteurs et négociants à Riquewihr depuis 1639 is one of the oldest wineries in Alsace, run by the same family for 13 generations.
The historic cellars are located under 16th century buildings and contain the famous barrel 'S. Caterine' from 1715 - the oldest working barrel in the world according to the Guinness Book of World Records.
The winery is famous for its expressive wines such as Gewürztraminer, Riesling and Pinot Gris, which perfectly capture the character of Riquewihr's unique terroir. The Hugel family also pioneered the production of late harvest wines in Alsace.
