Escaliers

Escaliers is a historic staircase in Menton, built in 1753 by order of Prince Honoré III. The Baroque structure with a unique pattern of crisscrossing lines leads to the Basilica of St. Michel, offering picturesque views of the old town.

The lower part of the staircase was expanded in 1941 and recently restored, adding to its charm. Climbing these historic steps is not only a history lesson, but also an opportunity to admire the charming pastel-colored buildings of the old city with flowered balconies.
