Faith Rohania month agoInformation before the fun stuff, the address given takes you to a door that then tells you to go around the building a bit more and yes. For us, we got sent to a random bar, and then we had to refind the address and use that lol.
No photos allowed during the tour, but it was good, you get truly engulfed into the stories.
Oh this was nice, informational, fun, interactive, funny and scary (if you get spooked easily) they pick people within the small groups to have you act out stuff, and there's signs and such for the chosen ones to do to make the storyline better. The actors were amazing, the group i had within it was fun, and i was chosen by my cousin as a woman who was accused to witchcraft, and needed to be burned at the stake. There were signs and such to tell me to scream and act like i was being burned alive to make the story more alive. Afterwards, i got a little fun paper, and the actor told me i did amazing and to go ahead and rejoin the group. Anywayz overall, great experience.
Christian Baliko2 months agoWe had an amazing time while visiting the Amsterdam dungeon! Be aware that you will be immersed in a play with real actors and that you may be required to participate! Without revealing too much, it is a lot of fun.
Boris Shekhirev2 weeks agoWe visited the Amsterdam Dungeon with my daughter and her friend. Her friend absolutely loved it — a solid 5 out of 5 for her. For me and my daughter, it was a good experience overall — maybe not amazing, but definitely enjoyable.
The actors were the real highlight. They were fully in character and gave a fantastic performance — definitely 5 out of 5 in that regard. They know how to build atmosphere and create tension, especially for more sensitive visitors. The overall vibe was intentionally dark and suspenseful, and it worked — some people were genuinely on edge.
The experience consisted of several different storylines, not just one continuous plot. There were at least five different scenes, including one about Jack the Ripper, which kept things interesting and varied.
There were a few moments where it felt slightly drawn out or when we had to wait between scenes, so I wouldn't call it perfect. But in general, it was a well-executed and entertaining experience. If you enjoy immersive theatre with a spooky twist, it’s worth checking out.Related categories
