Description
Plaza De La Cultura is Santo Domingo's vibrant cultural center, combining art, history and science in one place.
The complex was built in the 1970s on the site of a former ranch owned by dictator Rafael Trujillo's mother. Today it houses the National Library, the National Theater, the Museum of the Dominican Man and the Museum of Modern Art.
It's an ideal place for art, history and culture lovers. As you walk around, you can admire the modern architecture, beautiful sculptures and gardens, and attend regular exhibitions and cultural events.
