Description
Store Dyrehave is a unique national park with a rich history of royal hunting. Founded in the 17th century by King Christian IV, it impresses with its geometric layout of star-shaped roads with eight branches.
As part of the Par force hunting landscape in North Zealand, it was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2015.
At the heart of the park is the Royal Stone with the monogram of Christian V. Diverse ecosystems, jogging paths, biking trails and deer-watching opportunities provide ideal conditions for active recreation in nature.
