Description
Dronningholm Castle Ruin is the fascinating remains of one of the largest castles in medieval Denmark.
Built around 1200 by Valdemar the Great and completed by Valdemar II, the castle survived until 1525, when it burned down and was subsequently demolished.
Today you can admire the foundations and remains of the moat, which remind you of the site's former glory. The surroundings of the ruins create a picturesque setting ideal for walks and picnics. For photography lovers, this is a true paradise, especially during golden hour, when the light gives the stones a warm glow.
