Cathedral Museum

The Cathedral Museum is a unique treasure hidden on the second floor above the royal tombs in the Chapel of Christian I in Roskilde Cathedral.

It is one of the best preserved medieval rooms in Denmark, originally built for meetings of the 'Order of the Elephant'. Among the artifacts on display is a copy of Queen Margrethe I's gold dress, highlighting the splendor and artistry of the medieval Danish royal court.

The museum offers a fascinating journey through Roskilde's history from the early Middle Ages to the present day, showcasing the architectural evolutions and burial sites of Danish monarchs.
