Ogród Zoologiczny Ostrawa

The Ostrava Zoological Garden is a fascinating place founded in 1951, spread over nearly 100 hectares of deciduous forest with ponds.

It's home to a variety of animals, including elephants, hippos, tigers, bears and giraffes. A special attraction is the rare Madagascar lemurs, which can only be seen in Ostrava.

The zoo offers interactive experiences such as a mini zoo for children and playgrounds. It recently expanded its offerings to include botanical trails that lead to previously inaccessible parts of the complex.
