Eleftheria Square

Eleftheria Square is a modern urban space designed by renowned architect Zaha Hadid, combining contemporary design with a historical context. The square offers picturesque gardens, fountains, and walking and biking paths, providing the largest civic space in Nicosia.

The upper level of the bridge offers one of the most beautiful sunset views in the city, with a panorama of medieval Venetian walls. An underground passage connects the square to the old town, often showcasing art installations.

During the holiday season, the square comes alive with decorations, live music and handicraft stalls.
