Description
Carob Museum is a unique cultural and historical site in the heart of Limassol, Cyprus. The Old Carob Mill, built in 1900, tells the fascinating story of carob, the 'black gold' of Cyprus, which was once the island's main export commodity.
The museum is divided into two parts: the restored Carob Mill with its original machinery, and the Evagoras Lanitis Center dedicated to art. Interactive displays showcase traditional tools for harvesting and processing carob, as well as photographs depicting the life of farmers.
After the tour, visitors can relax in the peaceful garden surrounding the museum, admiring the beauty of the carob trees and local flora.
