Description
Lempa Prehistoric Village (Reconstructed) is a fascinating journey back in time to the Chalcolithic era (3500-2500 BC). This archaeological gem of Cyprus offers reconstructed homes, workshops and common spaces that faithfully recreate the life of the island's prehistoric inhabitants.
The site is also home to Eastern Europe's first experimental archaeology program, where ancient construction techniques, pottery and cooking methods are recreated. A particularly interesting find is the 'Lady of Lempa', a Chalcolithic period figurine currently on display at the Cyprus Museum.
