Description
Rokov Park is a charming place with a fascinating history. Originally a Jewish cemetery dating back to the 17th century, it is home to St. Roch's Chapel built in 1648 as a token of gratitude for saving the residents of Gradec during the plague epidemic.
In 1909, renowned Croatian architect Viktor Kovačić transformed the site into a residential park with town villas. The site is decorated with unique sculptures, including the famous Frangeš well with motifs from Dante's 'Divine Comedy'.
The park, located on a hill, offers picturesque views, and the unique Alexander Staircase leads to the Tuškanac forest. An ideal place for lovers of history, art and nature.
