Description
Revolution Square is one of the most important symbols of Havana and all of Cuba. It is dominated by an imposing 109-meter-tall statue of José Martí, Cuba's national hero who has become an icon of the country's independence.
It's a place full of history, where Fidel Castro gave speeches to more than a million Cubans. On the facades of the surrounding ministries are distinctive steel memorials dedicated to Che Guevara and Camilo Cienfuegos with their famous quotes.
While visiting the plaza, you can also admire important cultural and government institutions, including the National Library and Teatro Nacional de Cuba.
