Description
Leones del Prado are eight majestic bronze sculptures of lions adorning Havana's famous Paseo del Prado promenade. The statues were added during the 1920s reconstruction of the avenue by French landscape architect Jean-Claude Nicolas Forestier.
These impressive sculptures are not only decorative, but are also a symbol of the colonial splendor and elegance of the Cuban capital. Walking along the promenade, you can admire these stately statues on marble benches, surrounded by lush vegetation.
The promenade connects the historic districts of Habana Vieja and Centro Habana, making it an ideal starting point for exploring other attractions such as the Capitol and Gran Teatro de la Habana.
