Sloppy Joe's Bar, Havana

Sloppy Joe's Bar, Havana is a legendary bar with a rich history dating back to 1919. The place was founded by Jose Garcia in an old eatery on the corner of Zulueta and Animas streets.

In the 1940s and 1950s, the bar was a favorite of American tourists and celebrities, including Ernest Hemingway. Sloppy Joe's was famous for its impressive menu of more than 80 cocktails and its own brand of 12-year-old rum.

After a 48-year hiatus, the bar reopened in 2013, offering guests the opportunity to experience the golden era of Cuban cocktail culture in a neoclassical three-story building full of historic charm.
