Description
Zrinski Coalmine is a medieval silver mine dating back to the 16th century, and is the only mine in Croatia open to the public. Discover fascinating exhibitions, including the chapel of St. Barbara, the patron saint of miners.
The temperature inside stays at 12°C year-round, so bring warm clothing. The mine's tunnels bear female names, which was believed to bring miners good luck.
Learn about medieval mining techniques and try your hand at minting silver coins, fencing, mace throwing or archery. This is an extraordinary journey back in time for history and adventure lovers!
