Gral. José María Cañas Escamilla Park

Gral. José María Cañas Escamilla Park is a unique place in San José that combines history with nature. The park is named after General José María Cañas, a significant figure in Costa Rican history, especially during the Filibuster War against William Walker.

The most interesting feature of the park are four murals recounting historical episodes from General Cañas' life, which allow visitors to understand the events that shaped Costa Rican history.
