Description
Corrieshalloch Gorge National Nature Reserve is a spectacular rift gorge carved by melting glaciers of the Ice Age some 2.6 million years ago.
This remarkable natural wonder offers breathtaking views of the 46-meter Falls of Measach from a Victorian suspension bridge and viewing platform.
Here, the Droma River drops 100 meters over a distance of just 1.25 kilometers, creating an impressive spectacle of nature. The gorge, 60 meters deep and 10 meters wide, is home to unique flora and fauna, including a rare species of flycatcher Lipsothrix ecucullata.
