Church Square

The Church Square is the heart of the historic town of Frigiliana, which revels in its Andalusian charm. The centerpiece of the square is the 17th-century Church of St. Anthony of Padua, built on the site of a former mosque.

The square is decorated with a fountain that is a faithful replica of the older original, and the surrounding white houses with colorful pots of flowers create a picturesque setting.

It's the perfect place to enjoy an aperitif in one of the surrounding cafes while admiring the church's beautiful facade with its arch on the pilasters and the coat of arms of Bishop Fray Alonso de Santo Tomás.
