Shuimogou Scenic Area

Shuimogou Scenic Area is a unique place connecting five mountains and one river in a picturesque setting.

This national park is famous for its abundant water springs that converge into the Shuimo River, creating an enchanting landscape of bridges, streams and pavilions. A special attraction are the hot springs with medicinal properties, containing minerals that help with rheumatic ailments.

The place also has cultural significance - it is associated with the legend of a 26-year-old Uyghur girl from Kashgar who became a concubine. Within the park is Qingquan Temple, an important Buddhist site in Xinjiang.
