Description

Liu Xiang Tomb is a unique historical site located in the Wuhou Temple complex in Chengdu. The tomb is dedicated to the patriotic general who commanded the Sichuan Army during the war against Japan (1931-1945).

The site was carefully selected and built in early 1940, after a state funeral ordered by the Kuomintang government. Visitors often lay chrysanthemums at the grave as a symbol of respect for Liu Xiang's patriotism.

The temple complex around the tomb hides numerous relics from the Three Kingdoms period, including a replica of Zhuge Liang's hut and a bazaar in the ancient architectural style of western Sichuan.
