Description
Jianfu Palace is a historic Taoist temple located at the foot of the UNESCO-listed Qingcheng Mountain. It was built during the Tang Dynasty (618-907) and is an important monument related to the origins of Taoism in the region.
The palace impresses with the traditional architecture of western Sichuan - two temples and three complexes surrounded by lush ancient vegetation create a unique atmosphere.
The complex includes a stone statue of Zhang Tianshi, revered as the founder of Daoism on Qingcheng Mountain, and Shangqing Palace dating back to the Jin Dynasty.
