Chengdu Zoo

Chengdu Zoo is one of the largest zoos in southwest China, covering an area of 17 hectares and home to nearly 2,000 animals representing more than 300 species.

The main attraction is the Great Panda Pavilion, which has two outdoor playgrounds, air-conditioned enclosures and an exhibition hall. Since the 1980s, the zoo has made breakthroughs in the artificial insemination of giant pandas.

The garden is divided into themed zones, such as a wildlife area, a primate pavilion and a forest of birds. For the little ones, there is a special 'Children's Zoo' zone with interactive attractions.
