Description
Tianhe Stadium is an impressive sports venue in the heart of Guangzhou's Tianhe district. Built in 1984 and opened in 1987, the stadium can accommodate more than 54,000 spectators, making it one of the largest in the region.
It is a venue with a rich sports history - it hosted the opening and closing ceremonies of the 1991 FIFA Women's World Cup, the 2010 Asian Games and the 2013 Asian Champions League final.
The stadium is part of the larger Tianhe Sports Complex, which also offers jogging treadmills, basketball and badminton courts, making it an ideal venue for sports enthusiasts of all ages.
