铁像寺

铁像寺 (Iron Statue Temple) is a unique Buddhist temple in Chengdu, famous for its iron statue of Sakyamuni Buddha. Built in 1590, it was rebuilt several times in the 17th and 18th centuries.

Since the 1940s, it has functioned as a women's monastery, where nuns study Buddhist teachings under the guidance of eminent masters. The place offers a peaceful atmosphere for meditation and spiritual development.
