Tianhe Park (West Gate) is an oasis of tranquility in bustling Guangzhou. The park is resplendent with picturesque lakes and lush vegetation, including distinctive spruce trees that turn an intense red color in winter, attracting photographers from all over the region.
In addition to its natural beauty, the park offers cultural riches in the form of Yuehui Garden and the historic Deng Shichang Yiguanxuan. For the active, there are fitness paths and a children's playground for families.
Originally known as Shipai Forest Farm, established in 1928, it was redeveloped as a forest park in 1957 and renamed Dongjiao Park in 1960.
