Luodai Ancient Town is one of the best-preserved Hakka towns in the Chengdu area, with a history dating back to the Three Kingdoms period. The site impresses with more than 500,000 square meters of buildings from the Ming and Qing dynasties, including four impressive guild pavilions representing different provinces.
Legend has it that Luodai is named after Emperor Liu Chang, whose jade belt fell into a well while fishing for carp. During your visit, you can admire the golden roof of the Guangdong Pavilion and experience the rich Hakka culture through traditional architecture and local festivals, including the famous Fire Dragon Festival.
