Description
The Svet Nedel Church in Sofia is a true gem in the heart of the Bulgarian capital. This richly decorated temple, topped with a majestic dome, impresses with its splendor and beauty. The interior of the church is a veritable feast for the eyes - the walls are covered with beautiful frescoes that transport visitors to the world of Byzantine sacred art.
Of particular interest is the gilded iconostasis, miraculously saved from the tragic events of 1925. The church also holds the precious relics of Serbian King Stefan Urosh II Milutin, which adds to its historical significance.
Although the place attracts many believers and tourists, there is an atmosphere of peace and contemplation. It is an ideal place for lovers of art, history and spirituality.
