Description
Bealach na Bà is a legendary mountain pass in the Scottish Highlands, whose name means 'Cattle Pass'. Built in 1822, it offers the steepest road climb in all of Britain, rising from sea level to 626 meters.
The narrow, one-way road with sharp serpentines and gradients of up to 20% provides an unforgettable experience for experienced drivers. Breathtaking panoramas of the Scottish mountains and coastline can be enjoyed from the parking lot at the summit.
It is a true gem on the North Coast 500 route, but unsuitable for novice drivers and large vehicles.
