Description
Franzensburg is a fairy-tale neo-Gothic style castle located in Laxenburg Castle Park. Built between 1801 and 1836, this romantic structure was named after the last emperor of the Holy Roman Empire, Franz II.
The castle's interiors are stunning with historical elements - coffered ceilings, marble floors and leather upholstery. Today the castle functions as a museum with more than twenty exhibition halls full of valuable artifacts from various eras.
The park surrounding the castle offers scenic paths, monuments and charming garden spaces, perfect for a family stroll.
