Cordeaux Dam

Cordeaux Dam is a remarkable site with Egyptian-inspired architecture that was built between 1918 and 1926. The massive stone gates at either end of the dam's wall create a unique backdrop for photographs, transporting visitors back to the days of ancient Egypt.

Walking along the curved dam, which is 405 meters long and 57 meters high, visitors can enjoy the lake in a natural bushland setting. The site offers covered picnic areas, electric grills, restrooms and a children's playground.
