Sandown Greyhound Racing Club is a historic sports facility with a rich tradition dating back to 1956. The greyhound racing track underwent a major renovation in 2010, offering modern facilities and excellent racing conditions.

The venue is famous for its prestigious events, including the Melbourne Cup - the first greyhound race with a prize of $500,000 (now $600,000). The grounds also feature a unique museum showcasing the history of greyhound racing, with unique exhibits like the original 'tin boxes' used for track draws.
