Description
The Meeting Hall is the last surviving piece of a complex that was once the center of Methodism in South Australia. This historic Victorian Gothic-style building, designed by Edmund Wright, reflects the development of Adelaide in the 1860s.
Its historical significance is linked to its role in the establishment of Prince Alfred College. In 1982, the building was listed as a State Heritage Site, recognizing its architectural and cultural value.
History and architecture enthusiasts will appreciate the unique character of the site, which blends harmoniously with the nearby Adelaide City Hall and Pilgrim Church.
