Description
Dry-Creek Wetlands is a scenic linear park that combines historic heritage with natural beauty. The area is rich in remnants from the early years of the Adelaide colony, including the historic Yatala Gunpowder Warehouse and Forge.
The park forms a charming nature corridor along Dry Creek, where a variety of waterfowl can be seen, such as Australian cyranids, white egrets and cormorants. For four-legged lovers, there is a fenced dog run.
The site also has cultural significance for Aboriginal people, which has been honored with endemic plant groups in an archaeological reserve on Sanctuary Drive.
