Maribyrnong River Trail

Maribyrnong River Trail is a scenic route of about 23 km along the Maribyrnong River in Melbourne's northwestern suburbs.

The trail offers a unique combination of natural beauty and historical heritage. The name of the river is derived from the Aboriginal expression 'Mirring-gnay-bir-nong', meaning 'I hear the kusokot'.

While walking or biking, you can admire the native flora, including Red Eucalyptus and Silver Acacia. The route takes you past interesting attractions such as the pirate ship playground and Pipemakers Park bridge, associated with Melbourne's industrial history.
