Description
Wattle Park is a 55-acre oasis of tranquility in Melbourne's urban landscape. The park offers a unique blend of history and nature, with a historic 1928 Chalet and lush vegetation including eucalyptus trees, acacia trees and seasonal wildflowers.
It's a nature lover's paradise with more than 50 species of birds and 20 species of butterflies. For the active, there are jogging trails, a 9-hole golf course and tennis courts.
Children will delight in the playground with a two-story streetcar fort and swings, also accessible for the disabled. In the warmer months, you can listen to the Melbourne Tramways Band playing on Sunday afternoons.
