Description
Anstead Bushland Reserve is Brisbane City Council's largest nature reserve, spread over 130 hectares along the Brisbane River. This scenic area offers a 3-kilometer walking trail with views of the Brisbane River and the D'Aguilar range.
The reserve hides a fascinating history - the remains of an old basalt quarry where Frederick Sugars tragically died. The site is a bird lover's paradise with species such as rainbow lorikeets and fawns.
There is a playground, picnic areas, barbecues and toilets for families, making the reserve an ideal place to relax in nature.
