Description
Ubirr (Rock Art) is a unique site in Australia's Kakadu National Park, home to some of the oldest cave paintings in the world, dating back as far as 40,000 years.
Three main galleries display fascinating X-ray-style paintings of creatures from Aboriginal mythology, including the famous Rainbow Serpent, as well as animals such as barramundi, lizards and kangaroos.
A vantage point atop the rock offers a breathtaking panorama of the vast Nadab flood plains.
