Description
The Adelaide University Bridge is South Australia's first welded steel bridge, built in 1937. This historic monument of balanced cantilever construction is not only an important engineering feature, but also a gateway to the scenic route along the Karrawirra Parri River.
Walking along the bridge, one can enjoy beautiful views of the river and the surrounding green areas. The 1-kilometer-long trail leads through a quiet part of the river, where you can stop to admire the sculptures and picturesque scenery.
The bridge is part of the University of Adelaide campus, famous for its beautiful historic buildings and vibrant atmosphere.
