Description
Hans Heysen - The Cedars is a historic property that was the home of the famous Australian artist and his daughter Nora. It is one of the best-preserved historic homes in Australia, with the country's oldest surviving art studio built in 1912.
The estate is a treasure trove of Heysen's works, especially his paintings of monumental eucalyptus trees, which he was the first artist to make the main subject of his art.
The garden surrounding the house is stunning with more than 100 roses, many of which Heysen himself collected in the 1920s. The charming Alpine-style house and the surrounding landscape create the perfect place for art, history and nature lovers.
